Top woven on a loom with pure wool by Doña Laura.

With fringes at the neck, we can shorten them if you're bothered by how fuzzy it is. Just let us know via WhatsApp; it's basically a hair salon, and the hairdresser is Carolita!

It all started when Carolita said, "These fabrics are so beautiful, I want to wear them as garments, not accessories." And that's how the idea came about to make a vest, like the indigenous top but in a winter version, and the whole garment woven on a loom. It was challenging because it's not easy to make a garment on a Maria loom that looks good and stylish.

And the truth is, we couldn't be happier with the result.

As you can see, the top is handmade on a MARIA loom, with pure wools of natural colors.

It can be worn closed or open, depending on personal preference. It's a vest with two uses.

Do they itch? They itch a little, they're not meant to be worn directly on skin, they're not a base layer. Wear them with something underneath.

Does it weigh anything? No, it doesn't weigh much, it weighs less than a pure wool sweater.

Is it warm? It's very warm and ideal for wearing over dresses, or over blouses or thin sweaters.

They go with everything: jeans, trousers, dresses.

It is a timeless, noble, conscious, handmade garment, with a history woven by the hands of Doña Laura.

No two vests are alike, so there may be variations in color since they are made of NATURAL WOOL.

To preserve the shape and extend the life of the garment, hand wash with cold water and neutral soap. Lay flat to dry, preferably on a towel, avoiding hanging to prevent distortion.
